Most of the VO in this film is comprised of newly-discovered interviews with Elizabeth Taylor from 1964 (with some additional voices from friends and one 80s interview). It serves as a self-narrated biopic starting from her early years and going thru the AIDS crisis. There are hundreds of photos and clips to support the descriptions. Her observations offer a wonderful look back at her career and personal life with candid insights and some humor. Nothing is especially outrageous and the doc’s style is straightforward, but it does prove fascinating to hear this lovely and talented star describe her ambitions and regrets in her own words.
