Movieland is hosting a special charity screening of the 8th installment in the Fast & Furious series:
THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS
Saturday, April 15
7pm
This special event is a must see for car lovers. Plus, there will be special things going on in the parking lot!
The proceeds will go to Variety, The Children’s Charity, which focuses on the needs of children who are sick, disadvantaged or live with disabilities to maximize real, long-term positive social impact. Variety has its roots in the entertainment industry, where it was founded in 1927 by a group of Pittsburgh theatre owners as a social club. It evolved into the one of the world’s greatest children’s charities. Today, there’s a network of 42 offices in 13 countries and many millions of individual children around the world who live a better life, because of the generosity of Variety’s donors, sponsors and supporters.
Bow Tie Cinemas has been a proud partner with Variety for many years. Brenda Williams (General Manager of Richmond’s Bow Tie Movieland and Criterion Cinemas) is spearheading this effort, “I’ve been involved with Variety since my early years in cinema. It is my honor and commitment to host this screening. I look forward to you joining me for an evening of fun, charity and commitment.”
