Vera Farmiga and Cherry Jones play a doctor and administrator who must grapple with the horrid conditions and critically ill patients. These 2 exceptional actors head a cast that’s loaded with powerful performances. The writing and direction work together to create situations that are simply devastating to watch. The series starts heavy and becomes almost unbearable as the calamities mount. An effective, tragic look at one of country’s most dreadful modern disasters.
