Fool Me Once

Michelle Keegan plays a woman with a past (is there any other kind in a thriller?). She sees her dead husband’s image on her nanny cam and sets out to discover if he’s still alive. This leads to secrets that include her rich family (headed by an always delicious Joanna Lumley) and a police investigation led by Adeek Akhtar, who has health issues (luckily, not drinking, which is the typical detective flaw). As expected, there are twists and short outbursts of violence that keep it interesting. Sometimes, esp. during the middle eps, the pace is dragged down by too much conversation or unrelated issues. Even so, this is a pretty typical murder thriller with an ending that’s mostly worth the time. (Eight one-hour eps) 2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)
