“Hairspray” is the biggest production that TheatreVCU has ever done. Colorful costumes, many wigs, big sets and big girls. I visited a dress rehearsal to chat with the duo that plays the mother/daughter leads: Blair Wingfield, who plays Tracy and Jorge Bermudez, who dons a dress for the role created by Harvey Fierstein on Broadway and John Travolta in the movie. They talk about their roles and what director Patti Debeck brings to the show.
