Jimmy Carr is enormously popular in his UK homeland, but this standup special should widen his appreciation. His joke delivery, punctuated by his weird laugh, is standard, but it’s his subjects and observations that stand out. Nothing, including rape and child molesters, is off limits, but as he admonishes several times, it’s about the joke, not the subject. If you’re not easily offended, you’ll be laughing non-stop at Carr’s continually outrageous and genuinely funny observations.
