This is the latest in a long line of films based on the titular character and it’s the 3rd time that Dennis To has played the role. There’s a plot, but it’s only there to fill the time until the next martial arts encounter. They range in size from one-on-one to one-against-absurd-odds. Unfortunately, the frantic camerawork and chaos cutting make most of the feats (and feet) hard to follow. It’s usually a blur of activity without clear staging. Fans of the legacy may appreciate it, but recently-reviewed Ninja Assassin (my review here) did it to much better effect.
