Gael Garcia Bernal & Diego Luna star in this series with Barnal playing an aging boxer and Luna as his pushy, narcissistic manager. When the final fight of his career approaches, they’re notified by some mysterious underworld source that he must throw the fight. The “villain” becomes omnipotent, verging on supernatural, but that’s never played out. The drama revolves around these 2 men and the relationship that includes major obstacles. Both of the actors (long-time friends) are wonderful in their roles, creating characters with serious issues. Their chemistry is undeniable . The drama never reaches any real depth, but the people are engaging and the story has some interesting angles, although the ending is a bit facile. (Six one-hour eps, in Spanish with subtitles)
