When the movie starts, Charlie Hunnam has secluded himself in a trailer in the woods with a minimal lifestyle. A lover from his past (Morena Baccarin) talks him into returning to his former life as an LA police officer (disgraced, of course) to help solve a killing. As a murder mystery goes, the developments are pretty standard. Hunnam makes an effectivelly grubby, unassuming detective on a bike, while Mel Gibson plays the accused, arrogant English TV actor with aplomb. There’s not much original, although Hunnam’s character does possess some charm and Gibson is loads of fun. (3 / 5)
