5th Wall Theatre announced that co-founder Billy Christopher Maupin is resigning from his positions as Associate Artistic Director and Marketing Director, effective 10/4. He’s moving on to peruse other artistic opportunities.

He joined with Carol Piersol in February 2013 (following her departure from Firehouse) to incorporate The New Theatre Project.  Last summer, they established 5th Wall Theatre, where he directed BREAST IN SHOW, THE LYONS, and CARRIE THE MUSICAL. Maupin says, “It’s been such an incredible journey. It’s truly been an honor to collaborate with Carol and to help bridge that gap between what was before and what was to come next. I will forever cherish and value this experience and the lessons I’ve been able to learn from it.”

Carol remarked, “Billy Christopher brings a tremendous amount of energy and a unique perspective to the theatre and I am proud to have brought 5th Wall to life with him.”
