New/old cinema opens First Friday

The Bijou Film Center is hosting its first weekend of operation in its new Arts District location (304 E. Broad St.).

 

9/2: They’ll open for First Friday (6 – 10:30 pm) selling beer, wine and soft drinks. Short silent Charlie Chaplin films will be projected on the walls. Free til 9 pm.

At 9 p.m. the Bopcats will perform. They’re one of Richmond’s most enduring rock ‘n’ roll acts (fronted by Lindy Fralin). $5 donation.

 

9.3: They’ll show Charlie Chaplin’s classic “Modern Times,” at 7:15 pm and 9:30 pm. $5
