No Time to Die

As everyone knows, this is Daniel Craig’s last venture as 007 and it’s pretty much standard issue. There are some spectacular stunts, awesome locations and evil villains (the primary one is played by Rami Malek, who will NOT end up in the pantheon of great Bond villains). Of course, the sinister plot involves saving the world from yet another hi-tech plague. There seems to be a bit more humor (thanks prob to the writing contributions of Phoebe Waller-Bridge) and fewer luxurious sexual liaisons, while ramping up the female empowerment angle (again, Phoebe). What this one also boasts is some story surprises unlike any before. In addition, there are a number of “tributes” to Craig’s tenure to  give it a touch of sentimentality. Other than the story twists, this isn’t an especially memorable final showcase for Craig.
