Nope

Here’s a line from my review of Us (Jordan Peele’s last film) that still applies with this one: “While the concept…is promising, there are some question marks that throw the logic off the rails a bit. Still, it’s an inventive and engrossing addition to the genre.” Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer star as brother and sister who are the last family members of a long line of horse trainers for TV and movies. When mysterious things start happening on their ranch, they dig deeper (or look higher) to figure out the cause. While this starts with promise, it’s almost an hour until any cool encounters and even then, the lapses in reality and reason kept causing question marks. Director Peele hasn’t delivered much suspense…more anticipation that never delivers. The climax features some cool visuals, but there’s more unsettling atmosphere than real tension in the action. 2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)
