Anna Castillo plays a woman who has to escape her country that’s been taken over by fascists who kill women and children to conserve resources. She and her husband attempt to escape in a shipping container, but ultimately she finds herself alone in the middle of the ocean, pregnant! If you know the classic serial The Perils of Pauline (1914), this movie brings that to mind. Every 10 minutes another disastrous event seems like the end, but she prevails. As expected, there are some absurd contrivances that defy credibility, but for simple escapist thrills, this film is a fun watch.
