Josh Thomas is a popular Australian comedian who created, wrote and stars in this 4-season series. The fact that he’s very gay is handled in the first episode. After that it’s about his close circle of friends (all of whom are straight), his parents (who are separated) and a string of cute boyfriends (with lots of kissing). What makes the show so much fun is Thomas’ clever, quirky, neurotic, snotty, but ultimately captivating character. Add an enjoyable supporting cast and snappy dialogue and the result is lots of fun (with moments of earnest sweetness). After season one, Hanna Gatsby (who has become famous for her stand-ups) makes a delightfully deadpan addition.
