Sex/Life

Sarah Shahi plays a suburban housewife who begins to fantasize about the uber hot relationship she had before she was married with 2 kids. Of course, this develops into all sorts of melodrama, as the various characters deal with the fallout from her dilemma. While the writing is def on the embellished side of exaggerated, there are regular erotic interludes to keep the story steamy. Interestingly, it’s produced and directed by women, which is why most of the sex scenes feature the woman being pleasured. The dedicated performances by the attractive cast help ameliorate some of the soap opera vibe, but it’s still a show that some will find a guilty pleasure and others just ridiculous. 2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)
