Jim Caviezel plays a government agent who becomes involved in rescuing children from a sex trafficking ring. The first half of this film offers a powerful look at this illegal operation thru the eyes of 2 children who are abducted. Cristal Aparicio & Lucás Ávila are both touchingly heart-breaking. When the story moves to Columbia, the effort takes on more of an action angle that’s not as powerful. Even so, the movie’s message is stronger than the craft of the filmmakers, making it more an effective and informative advocate for the cause than for the audience. BTW, this is based on the efforts a real man (Tim Ballard) and Caviezel makes an impassioned speech during the closing credits, along with a QR code with a link for others to buy tix and share the movie’s important message.
