Everyone already knows the power that Taylor Swift wielded with her new tour and this concert video makes it clear why. She presents selections from her past albums full of catchy pop tunes. They’re pretty much presented just like the records (fans like that), but it’s the show that’s special. In addition to giant video screens, the stage extends into the audience, where platforms rise and fall with projections are on every available surface. In addition, the fans have LED bracelets that can be master controlled to create a light show in the entire arena. Swift stays on the stage for the entire 3-hour show, changing costumes numerous times, but always prancing proudly as she sings her hits with style and panache. Fortunately, she keeps the words of audience love and empowerment to a minimum. The band and the dancers are solid and interestingly, everyone is smiling almost all the time. That sums up Swift’s upbeat, positive style and helps create an enjoyable pop experience. NOTE: There’s an acoustic segment where she picks a different song every nite and all of those are presented as a bonus after the credits.
