Nathalie Emmanuel plays a New Yorker whose parents are both dead. She discovers her only remaining relatives are rich and live in England. She’s invited to a grand wedding at the smashing country estate. where she’s almost immediately captivated by the lord of the manor (an impossibly handsome Thomas Doherty). As expected, things go horribly dark and bloody. What wasn’t expected is how vapid this movie is. While the visuals and clothes are attractive, the film is never remotely scary. Sure, there are loud noises and shadowy figures, but it follows a predictable trope in plot and direction. This invitation should be declined.
