There are many differences between Vikings Valhalla (a series on Netflix) and X (now in theaters). They take place in vastly different times and places, but they both feature moments of bloody violence.
Vikings Valhalla (3.5 / 5)

X A “sextet” (my words) travels to a farm house where they plan to shoot a porno in 70s Texas. Unfortunately (or fortunately for moviegoers), the creepy elderly landlords complicate matters. The first hour sets up the story with a few softcore moments and plenty of dialogue. It takes that long before the murders begin and they’re not worth the wait. The killings are dispatched quickly without much originality or gruesome detail. There’s more ominious atmosphere than fear. This is kinda like a reference to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but it’s nowhere as clever or tense. NOTE: Stay thru the credits for a preview of a sequel (?). (2.5 / 5)
