Fall

Two friends (Grace Caroline Currey & Virginia Gardner) decide to climb a 2,000 feet tower in the middle of nowhere and, natch, they get stranded up top. Anyone who’s afraid of heights will want to avoid this film. Even the climb up is full of vertigo-inducing moments. The tension comes and goes, but the perils often feel real (they shot on a cliff in the desert to simulate the appropriate height). If you’ve seen 47 Meters Down by the same producers (my review) or Frozen (NOT the Disney movie, my review), this film continues the concept of putting people in impossible situations and figuring their way out. While some of the dramatic moments aren’t especially strong, the tension-inducing experience constantly comes from the climb and what happens next. 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)
