Sebastian Stan comes off his role as somewhat obnoxious, headstrong Tommy Lee in Pam and Tommy (my review) for a seemingly more genteel role in what starts as a romcom. Daisy Edgar-Jones plays a woman he meets at a bar. As their relationship grows, he takes her on a getaway that turns cruel and ultimately twisted. Let’s just say that he has abnormal appetites. This is more about the drama than thrills, so the first 90 minutes move a bit slowly as the warped scenario plays out. Surely, the dance scene (shown in the thumbnail) will be remembered for its bizarre interlude. There’s very little violence or gore, because this is more an intellectual thriller that ultimately proves disturbingly enjoyable and potentially appetite suppressing. 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)
